How to register a house in a public property and commercial registry

The Public Registry of Property and Commerce records all legal proceedings related to property, from acquisition or legal situations (mortgage, lien, credit) to sale.

Public Deed of Ownership

This document is obtained when buying a house and is certified before a notary, but in the registry registry, which has obtained legal validity. In the absence of a deed of the property, you must go to the notary from whom the document was issued and request a certified copy.

Purchase Agreement

If the former owner has previously registered a home, you must register the actions taken to transfer ownership and rights of that property to the new owner.

You must provide a certified copy of the notary's office for one of the two documents you present, which has been approved and signed by the notary public and has been signed (ratified).

The process cost is set according to the process requested. For example, in the case of home registration, the cost depends on the price of the home. Popular interest homes that exceed 870,000 pesos in Mexico City alone must pay approximately 17,500 for registration. The cost ranges from 294 pesos to 1,100 pesos for other services.

Registration process

Those involved in the act must attend the register with a previous appointment that can be handled on the same page as the register in your area. The procedure can only be requested by the registry owner or his legal representative, who must have a power of attorney and witnesses.

Before registering, you must make the payment corresponding to your application. Otherwise, the document will be rejected. A copy for acceptance must accompany each document you submit.

When the process continues, you will receive a certificate with an indeterminate validity period proving possession of your property in Dubai within approximately 20 days.
